Magasin STAUB Turckheim

Not worth visiting and spending scarce holiday time in this shop. The inventory is vast and interesting but everything is very expensive. Even the 2nd rate stuff they sell is priced very high - you can probably get the same stuff first rate online for the sane price if you dig around a bit. For the regular stuff I checked about 10 products and I could find each one cheaper with a simple web search, available in European online stores. E.g. some of the Zwilling knives were discounted to 60€ but the same knife was in multiple online stores for 49,9€. For a shop presented as an outlet in many sources and made to look like one, this is unacceptable. Why two stars instead of one: the products and staff are nice and there is a good selection. Would I buy anything? No. Would I go again? No.

They claim to be an outlet store, but I can't understand why prices here for 2nd choice products are in average 15-20% higher than what I would usually pay for the same 1st choice products in Canada (taxes and delivery included). The good thing about this store is the big inventory they have, not only Staub btw. That being said, if you are looking for a particular item that you can't find in North America and it happens that you are driving by Colmar, than a stop here at this shop might be worth.

This is a place where you can see various items from both Staub and Zwilling. Don't expect to get discounts. Prices are higher than anywhere else. You can get lower prices on some items, all with defects, yet still more expensive than a first quality item in a retail store or on the Internet!

Small, but still worth a visit, especially for the second-choice Staub kitchenware and for Staub products on offer (but I suspect that only smaller items get to be on offer, and only Staub products, not the other Zwilling brands also for sale there -- the point of an outlet is not to compete with their distribution channel). Now, whether one is willing to pay the prices for cast iron cookware that Staub is known for, even with a second-choice rebate, is a different matter (I'm not, but I got some other nice little bits and bobs there)

overpriced. items were not reduced. Think I will return items now I see the retail price. 181 for a 2nd grade 24cm casserole and wassurprised to find an item I purchased for 36.95 which was to have been reduced by 40 percent was full retail..not good
